If Sonya has a mask which folds back then its most likely that she is an Al'bed, they are the only people who still use that tech.

Okay, but who are the Al'bed? (I don't know a lot about FF10 and its background)

Also, while I'm thinking about it, what is our little group's quest going to be? The obvious one would be to get all the aeons and destroy Sin but we could always go for something a bit less grandiose...

The stage is set for some interesting twists as well - does Naji the pirate help or hinder the good guys? Are the rest of the group expendable to Tanis and his "secret mission"? Was he the hired killler who murdered Lauthelias? Will Fariel go respectable and become manager of a Blitzball team? (Okay, now I'm getting silly...)

Wherever we're going, Tanis will probably be the leader as he's the most "serious" (what are the others? A thief who steals for thrills, a pirate and two escaped prisoners LOL) plus his posts make a couple of cryptic references to a "secret mission" or something like that.

No doubt Squall will be very happy to learn that he's in charge. ;)

BTW Squall could you change the line in my first post from "the dwarf scientists made it for me" to "it's Al'bed tech?" then to bring it into line as I can't edit that one any more.

ok first of all, Sonya could have her funny mask thing but she'd be an al'bed which is a race of humans with slightly different eyes. Followers of yevon hate the al'bed for using machina (machines) becuase they reckon that its whats causeing sin to not go away casue they aren't paying for their sins la di da~ typical religous stuffs.

And yeah, theres pretty much only Al'bed, humans, the ronso which are like uber scary half animal folk *goes to get a picture*

I suppose you can add races if you back it up with a solid background that links somewhere into the actual story of Spira (the world in ff10)

Also i wasn't trying to be mean but your writting out Unreal not FF10 :p lol its clashing a bit.

Also we don;t have a summoner to defeat sin with plus Yuna will do that in the end, so we'll do something somewhere.

And yes Sin comes in many forms, not just the beafter of a blue ball in the sky, it appears as a giant kinda beafter of a fish thing too that cna fly as well.

Ummm what else. Yeha sin dosn't have a following, it does have sin spawn though, which are big powerful creepy feinds (monsters)

I just thought since there are so many little religions and cults in FF that I'd add one that worships Sin (they think he's Yevon purging evil from the world).

And Sonya may or may not be an Al'bed - she just got her mask off them.

Writing out Unreal? Unreal hardly even has a story - and I didn't know you'd ever played the game. (Aside - I took the idea of Skaarj and their blade claws for Kobie's Dragon Claws, so half of his "cool fighting moves" will be Skaarj animations from Unreal LOL I'll find you pics if you like, though the graphics in original Unreal are not great)

Sin is also a giant fish? That flies!? WTF they must have been drunk when they invented that thing!

He doesn't have hs claws out in that one (so back I go to get another LOL) but it's cool - did I mention that they have bracers which draw small amounts of energy from their bloodstream so they can shoot blasts of energy at their opponents (the Skaarj in the pic is in the process of doing so)

Here's another - this one's a screenshot. The Skaarj looks pretty menacing considering he's about to be blasted all over the walls by the flakcannon the player is aiming at him.

Also to enlighten you about Maestor Seymore.

Hes a human/Guado. Guado are another race in FF10 which are weird and funny looking.
Anyway yeah, in the game hes one of the lower evils :p under sin :p

And he is a summoner, he murdered his father, prospoed to Yuna (long history lesson behind that)

Shadow was an awsome character as are all the dark mysterious characters like Vincent, Amerant (if thats how u spell it), but i like the more optimistic characters ones who get really pissed off when mad but when then need to be can chill out abit, but also calm and cool, and a bit of an attitude.

My favourite characters are proberly Zell, Cid (FF7), Zidane, Saben and Locke oo and Qiuna, Character who add a bit of comic relief and hot-headedness. Zell being my all time favourite.

Btw u guys heard about FF7 Dinge of Darkness?

Also FF12 is ment to come out this year any1 know when about?

She's not an Al'bed - she just got her mask from the Al'bed - presumably her parents (ordinary Yevonite humans) didn't like the Al'bed but they overcame their distrust when it came to saving their daughter's life.

And blatantly using Al'bed machina probably attracted a lot of hostility towards her from the other Yevonites which may have been one of the reasons they so quickly pinned Lauthelias' murder on her.

Perhaps I'll elaborate in a later post if the opportunity arises and I can think up something plausible.

True but I wouldn't say its made everyone forget the 40K one, it just takes more time to write up posts for two roleplays.
