@ Bryn - If you like I could introduce your guys at the end of my next post? Makes no odds if they're explained in writing beforehand or in conversation with Marcus. Depends whether you want them to do anything else first.

I've already started writing my introduction of my team. What was the reason we came up with for them going to Acheron to get Marcus again? Was it cause they aren't allowed to enter the tounament without a human in their team or something...um, i think? Canna remember. If you could tell me why they have to find marcus i can post up my intro :)
Yeah - something like their agent told them pure Alitan teams were unpopular in the past coz of their disdainful view of humans and it'd be easier to get sponsorship if they included at least one human member this time.
EDIT
We're waiting... :P
@ Sean - LOL Some great banter there

I'm off home this weekend for my sister's birthday so writing over that period is unlikely. Bryn feel free to go and pick up Marcus - just be aware that he will NOT be revealing any more about his past at this point, will be evasive if pressed about Na Pali, and will take some serious convincing to get into the tourney :P
Appealing to glory and fame will not work, although "you can kill...and you're broke" probably will in the end.
That reminds me, I better get round to a flashback of him learning to kill...
Ah well, it's getting dark on Acheron, its single waxy moon, Styx, is high in the sky, and Marcus Fantom is about to answer the door to a bunch of overgrown cats XD

Hehe I was looking forward to the punch-up with Blake's team in the bar, but Diego vs Mander will do :D

Okay, I was having a bit of a laugh in my previous posts with the references:
The Keith Dallas character is a cameo tribute to Shakey, while Tami is a more direct reference as "Tamika" and "Carter" are both optional player skins. Captain Leatham, Dockmaster Romanov and Science Officer Argmanov were all real crew-members who left log entries around the Kran (Kira Argmanov was actually captured not killed, and most of the crew who escaped the Kran died at the Sunspire or the monastary at Bluff Eversmoking trying to rescue her).
I also threw about half a dozen Unreal references into my last post - Myscha is a name from a Nali tombstone in one of the levels (and was also one of the programmer's nicknames :P), the temples of Chizra and Vandora (two of the Nali gods) both feature in the game, the UMS Bodega Bay is the ship that picked up prisoner 849 and sent her back to the planet in RtNP, and UMS Prometheus was another crashed ship with a couple of levels built around it.
Although the timelines don't quite match up as both the Prometheus and the Vortex Rikers went down after the Kran, so their crews wouldn't all have been dead by this point. In fact, prisoner 849 arrives at the Kran just as the final battle is being fought on Deck 1. Also, Nyleve's Falls (there are several levels called after people's names spelt backwards, such as Harobed Village and Neve's Crossing) was where the Rikers crashed, not the Prometheus. The Prometheus went down in a valley not far from Glathriel Village. Ah well, ISV Kran didn't really crash in the mountains either - it landed near the Sunspire and demolished half the Temple of Vandora in the process! :P
Anyway, I kept it to just one reference this time - the Rrajigar Mines are one of the first areas prisoner 849 passes through after escaping the Rikers.

LOL The name of the planet is Elsinore. Elsinoran refers to something or someone from said planet :)
Marcus needs to go about winning the respect of the rest of them now, so my next post will be Marcus vs Seneca.

Since it was a tie, Seneca is gonna sulk. I'll write something tomorrow.
And as such from now on, because it made me laugh so much, Seneca will now refer to Marcus as Mushroom or the mushroom, Nokoni finding it entertaining will do the same ;)
Aino and Koda will just roll there eyes and Lune wont say anything :p lol
Yes, i'm mean but we all knew that mushroom jokes were gonna be part of Marcus's character.
If he's gonna sulk he should do so at the pub. Seeig Blake start on Diego then get flattened by Snowva should cheer him up :P Maybe Lune could ask for Blake's gf's autograph since she looks like her childhood heroine Duenan Knute...

Well actually Diego fights Blake, Snowva flattens his two mates, while Cleet gets a third, followed by all getting chucked out and a lecture from Mander.
And woo Naruto Shippuden second arc finally underway, hopefully wont b 2 long cause the third arc will defo b the best im my opinion (Cause Shikamaru plays a lead role could b said he has the lead role (I've read manga which is currently on 2 the 4th arc or it could b deamed the 5th u guess)

Straight over my head mate lol

Fair enough. Do you want Marcus and the Alitans to be there? Not to participate but maybe to notice or comment. Then they'll be like "Oh yeah, that's the guy who..." when they meet each other in the arena. Speaking of which, when do you want the Battleclaws to fight Nature's Deadliest? And how would it go?
Doesn't have to be just yet - I've got ideas for at least two Battleclaw opponents which can go first (one of which is Azaziel and his Twilight Wraiths - bonus point if you can tell me where I got the name Azaziel from ).

You may recognise the actor as Mr "Then we shall fight in the shade" Stelios from 300. Though CC's got a crush on him and was annoyed coz she thought he looked better with short hair.

He looked way better with long hair! He was very cool in 300! Best looking one outa the lot :p
And i came up with a really sad, random response to your silly "Whos he from" thing, and it was something really obvious. You never use really obvious things! ARG XD DAMN YOU GOOGLE!!
What, you've never seen Hex? You should. It'd appeal to your sense of humour.

Sean and me were thinking about first BC vs ND match. Do you want to make that the BC's first qualifier or beat up a random team first? :P
Bear in mind that you don't have to win EVERY match to be successful in the Tourney. In fact, the only gits who DO win every match are Xan Kriegor's boys :P

CHA-CLICK "Right guys, lock n load! And remember there's no 'I' in team." "True, but there are 4 'I's in 'cliche-quoting idiot.'" "Shut up Mushroom."
XD
Well, Sean's currently drawing up a map for an Assault match with BC defending and ND attacking (in the game you take turns but I reckon we should just play it once in the story to prevent boredom). The objectives went something like
Breach fort walls with mines provided Penetrate main base Initially there is only one entrance but can hack computer system to open doors Reach the prisoner and rescue them by placing a translocator beacon on them so they can be teleported to safety (the part of said prisoner will be played by a non-participating member of ND, or else some random)
Basically it's gonna be a fairly easy start for BC, as both Lune and Koda can snipe ND before they get to the walls and it looks like they might hold out til the timer runs out. Cleet plays spy and lets the others in, and also hacks the computers to let ND out of a bottleneck, forcing BC to fall back from a counter-ambush. Lune sends Marcus to hunt down Cleet and they make a stand in a room suspiciously similar to the pillared hallway from the final fight scene of The Matrix With Cleet taken out, when he respawns Diego calls up "Plan B".
I'll let Sean explain the particulars, but Diego, Cleet and Snowva all unleash Liandri-implanted abilities and charge in so that it turns from shootout to close combat. Probably Seneca vs Cleet (martial arts), Aino vs Mander (when she transforms the beast-hunter will probably head straight for her), Nokoni vs Snowva (raw strength) and Diego vs Lune (for no reason other than leader vs leader is cool). In the confusion and with a few seconds left Gail (smallest and fastest) makes a break and Marcus tries to stop her but she takes his eye out with her whip and reaches the prisoner.
Or something like that.

I'd like to hope that Lune would win her 1v1 just cause she'd be faster and a general pain in the arse with jumping about and stuffs. Or if she loses, then makes Diegos life as difficult as possible in the process XD Like cutting off appendeges...or limbs :P lol I dunno XD
normally that would b the case but the effects of level 2 (the liandri implanted things name) allows diego, cleet and snowva to fight on par with opponents that would normally b superior to them like Necirs and BC.
How about they dont get a result and the match ends before then.
After encountering Necris for the first, Diego, Cleet and Snowva decided that they had to become much stronger if they wanted to have any chance should they encounter the race again and pursue there dreams and protect their friends. The result of there efforts was level 2, a technique first seen in there younger days under Liandri training and experiments, they later mastered it and used it in a fight against Necris pirates, defeating them. By creating excessive pressure within there bodies they kick-start an accelerated blood flow, Diego, Cleet and Snowva provide there bodies with more oxygen and nutrients, gaining a sudden burst in speed and strength, both mentally and physically; Liandri compared this process similar to taking a stimulant.
While in level 2, the threes body temperature increases causing them to sweat greatly giving there skin a sort of shine and the skin turns slightly red from the increased blood flow and body temperature. Liandri's experiments and modifications allow the blood to move at the increased speed without the danger of rupturing blood vessels and organs.
Level 2 enables them to fight opponents that are initially out of there league. However, they can only be in level 2 for a short period of time since the accelerated speed at which nutrients are used up depletes there energy stores rapidly, leaving them thoroughly exhausted. The mechanics behind this enhancement also mean reduced strength and ability after significant use; with nutrient stores running low, having a faster blood flow would be quite pointless, since there are no nutrients to deliver. After use they need to consume food in order to recover all three being throughly starved.
A further downside to level 2 was also revealed. Although Diego, Cleet and Snowva's enhancements allow them to successfully perform level 2 without killing them outright, the intensity exerts a tremendous strain on the body, thus shortening there life. Although Liandri deem the technique as suicidal this is yet to be proven however. Never the less ND reframe from using this technique unless facing overpowering foes.
