BTW will it follow the same basic format as the old RPF (ie Cleansing of Chogoris...damn, that was fun...)

BTW I think the Chogoris campaign deserves a revisit. I don't mean we should fight any more battles actually on Chogoris, but there were some plot lines that were left unfinished at the end eg what happens in the battle between Waaagh Gary (well, I suppose it's Waaagh Ryan now) and the Hellgas 126th?


And what happens to Fury and Phoenix? Why are they going to the Eye of Terror (to be honest I only put that in the epilogue because Rugbystar mentioned his character in the "Eye of Terror 2" thread). Perhaps we could bring Asdrubael Vect into it a bit more.  I remember reading some ancient bit of background (can't remember where) that he has a "bloodthirsty and ambitious" son called Skechara and a daughter called Arkhathia who is, apparently, a lesbian (I guess anything goes in Commorragh ) so maybe he sends them after Fury as well?


And of course there was that Tau "Battle for Radikus" campaign (that severely ripped off War of the Worlds...) that never actually went anywhere coz the forum closed!

Fury is going 2 the eye of terror cause he heard that Vect is heading their and he is planning an assination attempt, and get his revenge, and also 4 a round 2 against Pheonix.

when niceguy gets round to it ill get the whole of the chogorus campaign on the forum. yea same format i was thinking...when weve worked out the bugs to the DOW online campaigns then we can make a new one with the new rules etc. also i agree we should finish off the campaign...just for old times sake:P

I was thinking not so much finish off the campaign per se as use it as a springboard for a new one.


And I've got the ENTIRE Chogoris campaign saved as a Word doc (posts, Legends - even if there's only one at the moment LOL , weekly reports, the lot) and I could e-mail it to you or post it up if that saves time.

Oh, I see. Remember though - Eldar and Dark Eldar can go a very long time without slowing up. Two extreme examples are Eldrad Ulthran and Asdrubael Vect, who are both AT LEAST 10,000 years old (!)

U should get in2 it, its really gd, jst like 40k, but i find it less complicated, but if u include all the magic and **** then it get even cooler.

Hence my choices - Elves and Tomb Kings are big on magic and as an Eldar at heart I've always loved those spangly psychic pyrotechnics...

All the races r pretty much the same as those in 40k


Empire - Imperial


Bretonnians - Space Marine


Khemri/Vampire Counts - Necrons


Chaos Warriors/Deamons - Chaos


High Elves - Eldar


Dark Elves - Dark Eldar


Orcs and Goblins - Orks


Dwarfs - Tau (i think)


With the addition of other Races suchs as Skaven (i collect them), Wood Elves (which r awsome Bradley collects them) Lizardmen, Beastmen


Also the vast variety  of troops u get 4 each race is gd aswell, Orc and Goblins r accompanyed by Trolls and Giants, Dark Elves have Harpies, Lizardmen have Dinosaurs, Vampire Counts have a wide range of Ghouls and zombies, Wood elves have Dragons and Trees and Dryands, even humans have dragons and griffons on their side.

Yeah, Tau are loosely based on Dwarfs (short-arses with big guns! ). Although they are much more friendly with Eldar (Elves) than their WHFB counterparts.


Hrud are Space-Skaven I think...but no-ones ever done a Codex for them (except one attempt by some mad guys on Portent Forum who made them like Jawas with sunglasses (!) and plasma guns)


Yeah I have thought about collecting WHFB occasionally, perhaps somewhere way down the line (another way to annoy my girlfriend... )

Skaven r so cool, their tech is so gd that it shouldnt really exist in that time, thats why the weapons r so risky 2 use, they have sniper rifels and Rattling guns and flamethowers and the mighty Warp-Lighting Cannon.  A down side is each may explode when used or at any minute.
