(sorry i know it long and proberly poorly written, but i had 2 cover Neji's fight, Diablo's fight, the start of Melina (i couldnt b assed finishing it rite now) and the start of the big battle the stage is set babys)

"Mika you worthless scum not a hair of you'r will be left in this world!"

3 Crusaders advanced towards Neji, "Crusaders! I'm done toying around with you," Neji put away his pistols and finally drew his sword. Mika soon cast the same spell on the 3 crusaders swords as he did with the last which managed to pin Neji to the ground, the memorys of being bested by a crusader fueled Neji's rage, but then again he didn't have his sword drawn that time and Neji was ready for the enchanted swords.

"Mika! the same trick won't work on me twice, I commend you, you figured out the lightning edges weakness (see Neji's battle with Diablos at elf land) and caught me off guard but I'm no fool. Arrgh! the dark prince will not be beaten again!"

Neji charged forward, one of the crusaders lunged forward with his sword but Neji easily side stepped it, he then parryed a follow up strike from another crusader holding his enchanted his sword at bay, the crusader who he dodged before came up with from behind. Neji quickly swung round to block his strike, he was on the verge of a counter attack when the third crusader came Neji once again had to swing around to block the attack before a killing blow could be delt. Neji soon found himself fighting three crusaders at the same time, they surronded him in a triangle formation making things hard for Neji.

"Damn these guys are stonger than I thought, I might have to give this new spell a try," Neji thought to himself. Neji ducked an attempt to cut off his head leaving him down on one knee, the other two crusaders then came at his sides bring their swords down hard, with his sword in one hand he blocked the downward strike to his left and by using his metal arm blocked the attack on his right side. He held the two crusaders in a deadlock while the thrid came in for a frontal attack.

"Ok now or never," Neji started channeled his dark energy through his body, his eyes turned black and then he burst to his feet shouting.

"Black Shockwave!" a small force of dark energy burst from his body causing all three crusaders to fall back shocked by what they just witnessed. With out wasting anytime Neji split the skull of one the crusaders with his sword as he tried to get back on his feet, Neji then spun round as another crusader just got to his feet and aiming low to avoid the crusaders swinging sword Neji cut him thorugh the stomach, the crusader feel to his knees clutching his wound. The third cursader who had dropped his sword during the blast took out a small Machina pistol, Neji charged forward has the crusader attempted to fire off a few rounds, but his aim was off and Neji easily avoided the shots, Neji cut off the crusaders hand then swung his sword chopping off the crusaders head. "so whos next," he called out.

Diablos returned to the airal battle which now was looking up, he tried to go help Tritoch battle Bahamut but his path was blocked by Mindy, he swung his sword but the nimble bee dodged the attack easily, Mindy buzzed around him, infuriating Diablos. Every attempt Diablos made to attack Mindy failed has the nimble Aeon made a mockery of his sword skills with her quick flying. Mindy lauched many attacks, striking Diablos at all angles, slowly her powerful string was starting to effect Diablos, enraged Diablos lauched a flurry of demon balls at her yet still she dodged them with ease.

"Arrgh, you annoy me!" He shouted

Mindy came in for another attack, Stringer pointed foward swooping down for a direct attack, Diablos to enraged to dodged put away his sword and stood his ground ready to take the attack, quickly Diablos grapped the stringer just inches away from his face, Mindy buzzed desperatly in attempt to escape, but Diablos' grip is not so easily brocken.

"Try buzzing around now bitch," Diablos boasted. A smile appeared on Mindy face as her stringer began to light up, and out of it came a flurry of sharp needles which pounded into Diablos' face. Yet dispite the flurry of needles Diablos continued to grip the stringer. A long stand off took place until Diablos began to charge up a Lightning edge in his free hand. He thrusted his attack forward getting a direct hit on Mindy, passing stright through her head. Diablos realeased Mindys stringer and she slowly faded away in a flurry of Pyrflies.

"Ok I think its time, I go rejoin Neji,"

"Eden! behind you!" Melina called out to her aeon. The Giant Angel spun round and raised her holy sword to block a Razial attack from the mighty Sandy. Suddenly Cindy appeared from behind Eden casting a powerful Blizzaga attack.

"Melina! could you take of that for me,"

Melina who was still confrontably on Eden shoulder launched a Holy attack, the bright light canceled out the mighty Bliazzage causing Cindy to be blasted back by the explosion.

"Good work my friend," Eden angelic voice said while she through back Sandy's latest attack. Sandy and Cindy soon regrouped and did a head on joint attack on Eden. Eden countered with her Blade of Sanction, causing both of them to be thrown back.

"Ha they are nothing to you'r power Eden,"

"But it is you who makes me strong Melina, now lets us defeat these creatures of darkness,"

The airship flew accross the battlefield helping out where needed, it was then that Gau noticed something in the background of the battle on the ground, marching down the Calm lands was a vast army of Crusaders and Warrior Monks.

"Cid! Cid! look! the ground battle!" he called out

Cid turned towards the direction of where the Angels where fighting.

"Ooooh ****," he said

"Briggs take us the ground, we are needed there!"

The Ronso swung the ship around and thrusted towards the ground battle.

"Everyone gear up, this is the big one!"

Meanwhile on the ground Mika noticed his reniforcements where fast approaching and ordered his men to fall back to him. The army lined up with the crusaders already there and soon thier lines were formed. behind Mika,the angels looked on at the impossible numbers infront of them. Kobie remembering from his militarys days called out to the angels.

"Everyone form a line," pointed to his left and right he called out "When facing high odds stick together and help eachother out, try not to get isolated!"

Soon the Angels had their line formed furthest left was Fariel gripping her two swords, to the right of her was Kobie, then Sonya, and finally furthest right was Neji, all were ready to fight for their lives.

"Neji!" a voiced called out from the sky, Neji turned around to see Diablos jet over to him.

"Diablos, bout time, come on lets fight as one," Diablos flew into Neji's body, allowing Neji to fight with two swords and at full power.

Mika smiked, "hmph, CHAAAARGE!" and the with that the entire opposing army charged forward.

"Oh no you don't!" a flurry of bullets came flying out of the sky, desemating the Crusaders front line causing them to halt their advance. Behind the angels the airship landed and marching out of it came the entire ariship crew all massed, well equip and ready to fight, it looked like quite on impressive army.

The airship crew formed up behind the Angels. Mika snarled at the site, and slowly began to fade away to the back of the Yevon lines.

And then without a word being said the two forces charged the shot distance towards eachother

“Fire at will!” Cid, commanding the Angels’ right flank, roared to his crew as they advanced, fanning out as they went. There was a long, rolling crash from scores of Machina rifles going off one after the other and the Angels’ line was instantly hidden by powder smoke. As this happened Mika’s Dark Crusaders, identifiable by their black uniforms, raised their hands and combined their energies into a shimmering Shield spell against which the bullets hammered uselessly.

“Damn it!” Neji cursed and shouted left and right to his men: “The mages! Kill the damn mages!”

But even as he did so the Yevonite crossbowmen pushed their way to the front, quickly forming up into four ranks with the first two on their knees, all with crossbows levelled. Kobie, who had faced Crusaders in action, saw the Crusaders beginning to rank up beyond the hazy smoke before the others did. He swore.

“Down! Lie down!” he yelled.

“Fire!” roared the Crusader officers.

Those nearest to Kobie did as he said and threw themselves to the ground, and as the Crusaders had been firing blind through the battle smoke the lethal bolts whistled harmlessly over them. Further away the mages who reacted quickly enough, Sonya and Chouji among them, were able to throw up Shield spells to protect themselves and those nearby, but others were not so lucky. The iron crossbow quarrels flayed into the airship crew, biting through armour and flesh with a sound like a butcher’s cleaver and propelling more than a dozen screaming casualties backwards into the grass.

In the wake of the arrow storm the Yevonites surged forward, the Warrior Monks and Crusaders charging past the crossbowmen with weapons raised.

The Highwind crew who had ducked were already back on their feet, Kobie at the front with his golden blades extended and now crackling with Ramuh’s lightning power. Neji and Cid were on his right, shouting their men on. Awesome magical energies flickered and blasted overhead as Sonya and Chouji’s mages duelled with the Dark Crusaders, each trying to do as much damage to the opposing line as possible and counter the others’ efforts to do the same in the last seconds before the armies clashed. Neither side faltered or drew back.

There was a mighty crash as the front ranks collided, some warriors losing their footing and being trampled underfoot or hurled up over their opponents’ shoulders with the force of the impact. The Angels’ line buckled but did not break as the Crusaders charged home, bending backwards as the larger Yevonite force attempted to sweep round their flanks. In the desperate melee Neji’s crew fought heroically, lunging with bayonets, clubbing their opponents with their rifle butts, or dropping their rifles altogether and drawing swords and other close combat weapons.

Fariel, who was fighting with her wave swords against two highly-skilled opponents, saw her opening and rammed them both down into an exposed neck. She let them go and leapt over her opponent, shape-shifting in midair. The Crusader had no time to scream before the wolf’s jaws closed around his face.

Kobie was floored by the martial arts prowess of one of the Warrior Monks, but flipped back onto his feet and continued fighting, his lightning-wreathed blades scything a white contrail through the air. Nearby, Neji parried a mighty blow from one of the elite Crusaders and swung his machina fist in a punch so powerful it crushed his opponent’s ribs. Sonya was defending herself against two Warrior Monks, her glowing staff spinning a protective wall around her, but when she spun round after knocking them back with a magical shockwave she suddenly found herself face to face with one of the Dark Crusaders, who cracked a barbed whip to release a pulse of dark energy that blasted her backwards. Snarling, Sonya got up and thrust her right fist towards the enemy mage. Her Atellian ring glowed and a barrage of Firannon lightning stuttered forth, overwhelming the Crusader’s Shield spell and throwing him back. She gasped in horror as he lurched to his feet in an eruption of black light - the mage had begun to mutate horribly and all around the other Dark Crusaders were doing the same as they unleashed their unholy power. The Crusader opposite Sonya was now a dark shadow within a halo of black flames with the whip still coiling around him as if with a will of its own. Another Dark Crusader rose up in a whirlwind of sand similar to the power Kiba had possessed, driving those around him back with a blinding storm of stinging particles. One hazed away until he was almost transparent then soared into the air with a blood-chilling shriek, while yet another grew in size until he towered above the Yevonites around him and flung four airship crew into the air with one sweep of a massive sword (ooc - Fariel feel free to make jokes about sharpened surfboards XD).

“Frak!” Fariel swore as a Dark Crusader in front of her disappeared behind a corona of crimson light and reappeared in a blood-red cloak wielding a scythe.

“Frak me!” she added as he swept the scythe round and tendrils of red light snaked out from it to coil and constrict around several of Cid’s men. Their screams were quickly choked off as they disintegrated before Fariel’s eyes, blackened skeletons tumbling to the ground in pieces.

“Frak me sideways!” she screamed as the Dark Crusader turned towards her and hissed, baring row upon row of needle-like teeth.

“Your time has come, heretics!” they heard Mika call gloatingly, as the Yevonites surged forward and the Angels’ army shrank back in fear of the Dark Crusaders.

“Stand your ground!” Neji roared in answer to his men.

(ooc - get out of that, if you can! 'Course you bloody well can, you're the bloody Avenging Angels...)

(occ - Oh hell yeah! Blade trinity quotes!! Excellent! Hahaha and i ripped off someones face LOL XD Made my day this did. Not to mention that we are well and truely SCREWED XD Fenix, what the hell are we gonna do against that?! Thay are freaky XD LOL And ya had to turn the dark crusaders into the two hardest to kill characters on SC3, ya pest...damn nightmare and zasalmel...Right, sythe boy is mine! I claim him! XD LOL. No clue how to kill him but i claim him!)

(im gonna try and write abit and im pretty fuking wasted so its gonna b a treat i also wanna check is Melina and Eden the only ones still fighting in the air and Cindy, Sandy and Bahamut are left. I'll kill all three now with the ultimate Aeon, but please if someone wants one jst edit as appropiate i think Tritoch might still b up)

"Melina look!" the angelic voice of Eden said to Melina. Immediatly Melinas attention was turned to the ground battle and their she saw three crusaders who had stangely mutated her face when pail with terror as she saw not only aother Kiba but a potental army of them.

"should we go and assit," Melina stood in thought for a second before catching at the corner of her eye an attack from Cindy launching a mighty Firaga attack, immediatly she cast Nulblaze in order to counter the attack. The mighty ball of fire hit of the shield designed sololy for blocking the even greatist of heat.

"No lets stay here and do our job," Eden turned and faced Cindy who was bring up another Firaga attack, but before she could launch the attack Eden had slashed forward with her huge blade causing Cindy to make last minute evasive manovers yet the holy blade scrapped her side causing a seering burn to channel through her body, eventually she shook it off and recovered. Soon Cindy was back on the counter attack this time backed up by Sandy whos forarm blades blazed ready for a Razia attack.

Cindy launched a flurry of blizzaga and Firaga attacks while on her charge and Sandy followed up with a frontal Razia attack. The magical attack hit Eden with little effect and the Razia attack from Sandy was blocked by Edens holy sword and Sandy was soon sent flying back when Eden broke off the deadlock. Eden thrusted forward at cindy who this time was unable to dodge and ended up scewrd by Edens sword.

Sandy angered by the loss of her sister charged forward blindly.

"Eden now! Strike her down, Halo blade!"

Eden sword shown brighter than ever and came down on Sandy, the blade repelled her attack with ease, leaving Sandy open for a finishing blow. Melina cast her holy magic attack, a bright light blasted from her body and descimated the dark Aeon, leave nothing but the last of her pyrflies floating off to the farplain.

(if Bahamut is still alive then they will head to the ground battle if not Bahamt will block thier path i need 2 know before i can finish this post)

(ooc - yeah, Bahamut's still up there duelling with Tritoch - just post Tritoch luring Bahamut into a position where he can be vanquished by Eden then we can focus on the ground battle)

Eden and Tritoch attacked Bahamut together yet every attempt they made on its life ended in one of them getting blasted backed by a powerful Impulse attack.

"Damn Their is noway past his defence," Melina said

"The king of aeons indeed," Eden said silently

"Lets not give up, come lets attack again," The voice of Tritoch said in Melinas head

Eden and Tritoch attack side by side once again when suddenly the sky began to shake. Bahamuts power was growing with every second and time was running out for the air born warriors.

Eventally Bahamut started to glow, it appeared he was about to launch the mighty Mega Flare attack, Bahamut targeted Eden and let rip his mightest attack she jumped back and braced for the attack.

"Hold tight Melina!"

Sudden Tritoch soared inbetween Eden and the blast, its wings started to glow and Tritoch releashed a powerful multi coloured beam, it collided with the Mega Flare with a mighty blast.

"Hurry Eden, I can't hold this long,"

Eden flew up higher channeling her energy into her sword she threw it towards Bahamut, the sword split through the clouds catching fire as it went, the occupied Bahamut could do nothing the sword pierced its thick skin and sent Bahamut pummeling into the water, massive waves spread out from all directions. Eden held her hand out and sword came flying out the water returning to its master.

"Incredible Eden,"

"Hevens Messenger, the lights counter to Dark Messenger,"

With her job done Tritoch faded away in a storm of Pyrflies. But for Melina and Eden there was still work to be done.

"Come on Eden we must help the others,"

Eden jeted near the battle but stopped just short of the airship.

"Why are we stopping Eden,"

"Look the battle does not go well,"

"All the more reason to help, with you'r power they won't stand a chance,"

"The battle has become to confused should I attack I will kill our allies, I'm to big for a battle like this,"

"There must be something you can do,"

"There is one thing but I'm going to need all you'r magical energy,"

Melina did as told and pour her energy into Eden, Eden took to the sky and began to glow, the battle was so fierece that no one notictied anything until the tired airship crew started to feel strange, the sweat began to fade from their faces the heavy swords started to grow lighter.

"More Melina I need more,"

Eden now began to shine, and then slowly wounds began to heal, those who had collapsed from fatigie and wounds slowly began to rise to their feet, the reason for this confused the crew until Cid who was falling back after taking a blow from a dark sword which started to mysteriously infect his skin. He felt the poison lift from his skin and then the wound sealed shut, he looked to sky as a sign of thanks when he saw Eden high in the sky casting a warm light on the battered troops, a smile appeared on his face as he looked around to see his wounded men rise to their feets eager for a second round, sadly lying where he was standing was Briggs, the mighty Ronso guarded his wounded men with both his spear and body until he eventually died from several wounds. His wounds sealed but their was no sign of life, it was the same as he looked around, those who unfortunatly died from the battle did not stir. Edens powers were great and she could heal a man near death, yet no power is strong enough to bring a man back from the dead.

"My friends...you'r deaths will not go unavenge," he said softly

"My friends lets have no fear the angels are on our side!" He called out before turning around to stap the cursader who had broken through their lines. Raising he charged deeper into the battle.

(occ - BADLY WRITTEN! XD LOL Okay, this is as good as it gets when i write quickly. Hopefully you can understand what i was trying to write, or if you have an imagination you can make it up. Basically scythe boy is dead and you'll find out who Clue is in the second one. That is all :p ttfn)

“Oh bugger…” Fariel muttered as the dark crusader advanced towards her, backing away she gripped her swords, looking around she looked for help but the men that were by her sides the crusader had killed in one hit. “Great…” She muttered raising her swords.

She rolled to the side as he launched his first attack but it thankfully missed, when she got back to her feet she managed to catch a disturbing glance at another one of Neji’s men fall prey to the crusaders attack. “Stop it!” She growled, the crusader glared at her and rose his scythe which she noticed had begun to glow.

The scythe came at her this time, in a horizontal attack; she clashed both the blade and the handle with her swords and managed to parry it over her head. She cursed as the scythe doubled back towards her, she parried it again and jumped back, he was much stronger, just parrying the blows was difficult.

“Fariel!” Rico’s voice cut across the battle field, she turned to see where he was, the four of them were running towards her, slashing down any crusaders that got in their way.

Turning back to the crusader she was fighting her eyes widened, crossing her swords above her the scythe ground into them and the force threw her down into the ground. “Why must that child be so distracting?!” She muttered to herself, kicking aside the scythe and rolling backwards back to her feet.

She lost her grip on one of her swords as he attacked again, the blade went skittering away out of reach and she quickly drew one of her daggers to replace it. Fariel was almost thankful when a couple of Neji’s men appeared at her side swords raised and ready, but her thanks were cut off as the same red light that had consumed the others rushed towards them, Fariel jumped in front of the two men and cast a waterga in a semi sphere to protect them like a shield. The crusaders attack thundered into her shield, forcing her to take a step back, growling she forced herself back forwards.

“No!” She yelled as the force against her shield vanished and she stumbled forwards, the light branched off to the sides and sped around behind her to consume the two men, her shield became a complete sphere around her as the light came for her but it cut off before it touched her shield.

Spinning around she glared at the dark crusader but ****ed a brow as she noticed his weapon’s glow was brighter, it was beginning to shake, the crusader tightened his grip on the weapon as he fought to hold onto it. Stabbing it down into the ground he regripped it and forced it to be still.

Taking her chance she ran towards him, leaping up she used the scythe as a pedestal to jump higher, she smirked as her foot collided with the crusaders face.
The crusader released his scythe and fell back beneath her, she jumped before he landed and landed on his crotch. “I bet that one hurt.” She grinned victoriously spinning her sword in her hand ready for the final blow.

“Fariel, behind you!” Kale yelled. Fariel yelled a string of curses as she was thrown aside; she rolled back to her feet and threw up her hands as she saw the scythe spin towards Kale where he stood in her place.

A powerful shot of water punched into his side and he flew aside as the scythe just missed his torso by an inch. Kale recovered and rolled to his feet but growled as he noticed his bow had snapped as he rolled. Sheana was quickly to his side.

“Two seconds more and I would have had him.” Fariel muttered.

“Fariel catch!” Rico yelled, Fariel smiled and sheathed her dagger, and jumped to catch her second wave sword as it flew towards her.

“At least he has his uses.” She smiled then yelled her thanks to him.

“She made me break my bow, my frigg’n bow!” Kale growled holding the broken bow.

“Would you rather your bow or your life?” Sheana gritted her teeth at his idiocy.

The dark crusaders arm snapped upwards and caught the glowing scythe as it flew to him. Sitting up he got to his feet and Kale and Sheana backed away.

“Hey guy’s? Do you still remember Clue’s formation?” Fariel winked.

Kale, Sheana and Faber all nodded, and separated. Kale with Sheana, Faber dragging Rico with him by the arm. Faber and Rico stood in front of the crusader, Sheana and Kale at the back. They separated again so that they, including the crusader stood in a dice formation.

Kale begun, running towards the crusader he discarded his broken bow and drew his sword. Leaping into the air he swung his blade but the crusader reacted with ease, parrying the attack, Kale flipped in the air and kicked off the scythe to jump away. The crusader roared in pain as Sheana who had shadowed Kale thrust her sword through his lower back.
Quickly diving out the way Sheana smiled, the crusader was now facing her and had his back to Faber and Rico who had begun their turn.

The same happened again, Faber shadowing Rico who launched up into the air, Faber going low. The crusader spun around just in time to parry Faber’s sword, falling into their trap. Rico’s sword went clean through the crusaders shoulder.

Both jumped out of harms way as Kale came at him again, Fariel who had joined up with him, directly behind him, running in unison with him, almost touching. The crusader wheeled around to face them as he caught Faber and Rico’s gaze looking Kale’s way.

Faber ducked low, Rico used his back as a pedestal to launch at the crusader from behind, grabbing the scythe as he pulled it back to attack Kale, the crusader stumbled back as the sudden weight pulled him backwards.

Kale launched forwards and drove his sword into the crusaders stomach, Fariel stepped up onto his shoulder and drove her wave sword through his chest before flipping onto his shoulders, Rico slipped off the scythe and Faber grabbed him and pulled him away as Fariel took his place.

Swinging down she grabbed the scythe and pulled it from his grip as he fought to keep his balance with the four swords stuck in his body.
They all moved away, Fariel held the shaking Scythe away from herself and looked at the crusader as he turned to face her.

“I’m not surprised your still standing after that attack. Most people would have been dead after the first two hits but no, you have to be one of Mika’s supped up bad ass crusaders that of course need more then that to fall down!” She growled, “Fine! Eat scythe bitch.” She laughed throwing the scythe spiralling towards the crusader, he rose his arm to catch it but Faber reacted and sent his sword plummeting into his arm.

They all jumped back as the scythe hit the crusaders chest just above Fariel’s sword. It shook violently now, Faber’s sword fell to the ground as the arm it was stuck in began to disintegrate, the disturbing red light surrounded the crusaders body and slowly he disintegrated completely, all their swords falling to the ground, followed by the scythe. Moving closer they retrieved their weapons and looked at the scythe.

“What do we do with that?” Rico looked at Fariel.

“It’s not hard to steal from a dead man but that thing just creeps me out.”

“Destroy it?” Sheana smiled.

“After.” Fariel answered turning serious and looking across the battle field to where Mika stood scowling at her. “He needs to be destroyed first.” She growled. “Ya hear that Mika, I’m coming for yer ass! I’m gonna kill ya!”

Neji had just finished cutting down a dark crusader stupid enough to attack him the front when two more came at him vicous snarls on their already twisted faces, with both swords Neji parried the double attack holding off both crusaders.

"hmm, dark powers or not you'r still no match for me!" Neji screamed as he threw the two crusaders back.

"Neji sir! help me!" Neji heard a voice yell at him from deeper in the battle. He looked up to see two of his men get throw into the air by a tenticle of sand.

"Diablos! quick!" Neji sprouted his wings and seperated from Diablos they caught the crusaders in the air.

"Thank you Sir!" the crew members thankfully said.

Neji looked up, "Kiba! it can't be how many times do I have to kill you," Neji said to himself with sign of worry in his voice.

"Diablos let us merge again! If it is who I think it is,"

Neji and Diablos became one again, hovering above the battle Neji flew towards the spinning spiral of sand gazing down he saw men surrond a twist crusader attacking from all sides yet a quick and powerful sand shield sent them all flying in all directions.

Neji sighed in relief "Its only a cheat immitation," Neji floated down towards the battle and his men immediatly fell back behind him. The cursader's eyes fixed on Neji.

"Hmm the traitor Neji! I shall kill you and you'r crew," the crusader shouted his treats yet they seemed to simply roll off Neji.

"Hmph, you know you sound alot like him, but I can see you'r nothing compared to him, a mere shadow," Neji said with a serious look, slowly his face fixed to half mockinly smile. "I wont even have to use my lightning edge,"

"You dare mock me! DIE HERETIC!" in an explosion of fury the crusader send a long blast of sand towards Neji, the crew stepped back in fear.

"Look out Captain!" they shouted yet Neji didn't move. Instead Neji focused his gaze on the ground.

"Neji have you gone mad! get out of way," one member shouted, yet still Neji didn't move the blast of sand still powering its way to him. Neji looked up in last possible second and with one swing of his sword caused the blast to break into a collection of harmless particles. Crusader stepped back in shock staring at Neji who still had the same expression, sand particles drifting towards the ground around him.

"Like I said, a cheap immatation," Neji charged forward eyes locked onto the crusader.

The crusaders shield raised up to block to attack, just as he done with Kiba before twirled round the thick sheet and was quickly face to face with the Crusader, but Neji did not attack instead he smiled at the crusader causing him to jump back in fear. He raised a piller of sand from below Neji, Neji quickly crossing his to swords used them as a barrier to keep the harmful sand and him apart, and using the raising piller as a catputult was able to launched high in the air, abandoning his sword Neji came down from above the crusaders metal arm clenched and ready for a crushing blow.

Thinking quick the crusader had the sand coil round Nejis limbs haulting him in mid air just mere inches from the crusaders face. Now face to face the crusader smiled mockenly.

"You should of killed me straight away," Yet Nejis faced stayed with its half smile, which confused the crusader greatly. Then suddenly out of no where Neji Lunged his head forward, his head delt a crushing blow to the crusaders face (lol I really wanted to do a good ol fasion headbutt).

Neji could feel the crusaders face crumple under his head, the sand hardened and crumpled away as the crusader collapsed to the ground. Picking up his sword Neji finished off the crusader. Leaving Neji unharmed, with but a thin trail of blood coming down from his forehead.

Thanks to Eden’s healing magic, the Crusaders were giving ground to the Angels’ restored army, but the Dark Crusaders alone seemed unstoppable as they fought their way towards the Angels.

One of Cid’s men screamed as the black-fire Crusader’s barbed whip flicked out to coil round his ankle and then jerked back to pull him off his feet and send him flying into the air. The Crusader cracked the whip to pulse a bolt of dark fire after him and disintegrate him before he had even hit the ground. Sonya cast Bisingr against him and the Dark Crusader’s Shield spell buckled but did not break as the elven fireball flared against it. The Dark Crusader turned and pulsed another stream of dark Firagas towards her. She dodged the first, deflected the second into the air with a Rebound spell, and cast an Anistara ice wall to absorb the third, but this did not turn out as she’d hoped - she underestimated the power of the dark fireball and though the ice shield took the hit, the force with which it shattered knocked Sonya backwards. As Sonya lay on her back, blinking furiously to try and clear her seared vision, she saw an Al’bed step over her to bar the path of the Dark Crusader. It was Zell.

“Zell, no!” she screamed as the young Al’bed engineer emptied his Machina pistol into the Crusader’s unyielding Shield spell. Undaunted, Zell raised his sword to attack but the Dark Crusader flicked his whip to twist it round the blade and rip it from Zell’s grasp. The barbed whip slashed across Zell’s face and the Al’bed fell with his hands over his head, blood bursting from between his fingers. Sonya leapt to her feet and cast Firannon at the Dark Crusader, who unprepared for the attack was blasted backwards.

“Zell!” she shouted, stooping over the groaning Al’bed. She prised his hands away to reveal a nasty cut across his forehead which had missed his eyes by the smallest of margins.

“Hang on Zell…” she said as she pressed her palm against the wound, her eyes closed tight with concentration, her hand glowing as she began to cast a healing spell. Her eyes flew open as the Aeon within her screeched a warning; turning too late she was knocked flying by another dark bolt as the Dark Crusader returned to the attack. Only escaping serious injury through Tritoch’s protection, she staggered to her feet and cast Anistara in an attempt to trap the Dark Crusader within a prison of ice. The Crusader’s dark aura grew brighter as he shattered it with a flare of black fire, but Sonya came flying towards him, her staff blazing with magical fire, and floored him with the force of her strike. She spun and brought her staff down but the Crusader’s foot swept round to knock her feet from under her. They both flipped back onto their feet simultaneously, charging spells already crackling about their hands, and they both thrusted forward so that a beam of white light met one of black in the air between them. Magical energy sparked and crackled off as the two spells strained to over-ride each other, until Sonya sent tendrils of fire and ice twisting round her beam to add to its power and threw the Dark Crusader back. But even as the triple magic attack shattered his defensive Shield, the Dark Crusader disappeared in a swirl of black fire to avoid the killing blow. Sonya glanced around in confusion, but then pain shot through her as the whip slashed across her back, making her stagger forwards. The Dark Crusader had teleported behind her. His barbed whip flicked out again to coil round her, then he jerked it back brutally and Sonya was spun to the ground, her clothes and skin torn by its vicious barbs.

The transparent Dark Crusader swooped towards Kobie with a piercing cry, his burning green eyes the only colour in his ghost-pale face. He seemed to become more solid as he dived, drawing a glowing white sword. Two of Cid’s men barred his path, but the sword swept through them both in one stroke. There was no blood, but without a sound the two soldiers crumpled. Kobie hauled back his bowstring, his thumb finding the Thundara rune, but as he fired the Crusader seemed to fade away again and the lightning bolt passed straight through him, flickering harmlessly into the sky. The Crusader solidified once more as he plunged, and Kobie extended his lightning-wreathed Attelian blades to meet the Crusader’s ethereal sword in a clash of magical sparks. Kobie lunged and staggered forward as all three blades of his left gauntlet sailed clear through the Dark Crusader with no resistance, the Crusader ignoring the attack to ghost round behind him. Kobie’s right side-blade swung back to block his opponent’s sword again, counterattacking by hammering his elbow back towards the Crusader’s face. Again he stumbled as the sharp point of the side-blade failed to contact the ghostly Crusader, who had hazed away once again only to reappear and strike back seconds later. This time he penetrated Kobie’s defences and the Angel hissed in pain as the phantom blade pierced his shoulder. He fell back as the Dark Crusader twisted the sword and ripped it free. There was no visible wound - his shirt was not even marked - but a feeling of icy cold had gripped the area where the blade had struck and he found he could no longer use his right arm.

“Ramuh, help me!” he gasped. Immediately he felt the Aeon’s ancient power flow through his body and white light radiated from him, causing the phantom Crusader to recoil even as he swept in for the final blow. Kobie raised his head to reveal that his hair had and eyes had turned white, his face gaunt and stern. Lightning arced from his fingertips to swirl round the phantom in a crackling cage, and the Dark Crusader screeched his rage as Ramuh’s voice thundered from Kobie’s mouth:

“Release this mortal that Mika has bound you to, Dark Aeon!”

The Dark Crusader snarled in response. Beams of light shot from Kobie’s eyes to engulf the Dark Crusader, and his snarl rose to a scream of rage and pain as the lightning holding him prisoner crackled fiercer.

“Be gone, scion of darkness!”

The Dark Crusader screeched as light began to slowly drain from his eyes and mouth, and as this happened he began to become less transparent, phasing back into solidity. As the Dark Crusader fell to his knees the draining light began to pool in a swirling vortex above him, and the cage of lightning followed it as it rose upwards. For a second a twisted face screaming its fury appeared from the roiling shadows, then disappeared as the cage of lightning imploded with a bright glare. The Dark Crusader remained, human once again, and the phantom sword slipped from his fingers and vanished into thin air as he slumped to the ground unconscious.

“Judgement is passed,” intoned Ramuh, and the signs of the Aeon began to fade from Kobie’s body as he stood up. Kobie looked around to see that the battle had swept past him, and ran to rejoin the fight.

Sonya rolled onto her back, almost sobbing with pain as another dark bolt cracked down towards her, but Tritoch protected her even when her own defences were down and the Aeon’s power threw up a magical barrier against which the bolt exploded harmlessly. Sonya was given time to raise her staff to parry the Crusader’s slashing whip, which twisted around it. As the Crusader fought to pull his whip free, Sonya’s staff glowed and crystals of ice began to cover it, creeping up the Dark Crusader’s whip. Her teeth gritted, Sonya poured all her magic into the Anistara ice spell as the Crusader focussed all his power to resist it. The black fire wreathing the Dark Crusader roared brighter with his anger, but the ice continued to crystallise up the whip until it reached the halo of black flames surrounding it.

“Nullfrost!” the Dark Crusader shouted, and a shimmering magical barrier interspaced between him and the advancing ice stream, holding back even the powerful elven spell.

“Damn! He’s a Black AND White mage!” Sonya cursed.

Don’t give up, Angel, she heard Tritoch whisper in her head.

Sonya closed her eyes. The tiny runes on her Atellian ring glowed electric-blue. The ice spell enveloped the Dark Crusader in a whirling snowstorm, sheets of ice pressing down against his Nullfrost shield. For a second it swirled and coruscated as it fought to repel the Anistara spell, and then…

“What!? NO!!!” the Dark Crusader screamed as his shield, supposedly impenetrable to ice magic, collapsed. The nimbus of black flames whirling round him instantly froze into weirdly-shaped icicles, and within seconds the Crusader himself had disappeared behind a jagged icy shell. A frost-covered hand was sticking out the top, clawing at the air where it had frozen attempting to escape.

Someone shouting her name from behind made her turn.

“Feyd?” she said in surprise as Kobie came sweeping through the melee towards her, defending himself with only one set of blades as he cradled an apparently wounded right arm. He retracted his Atellian blades as he looked up at the Dark Crusader she had just imprisoned.

“Dark Crusader?” he asked her. She confirmed with a nod. Kobie placed a hand on the frozen figure.

“He’s still alive - the Dark Aeon possessing him is powerful,” he looked at her, “Let him out.”

“What!?”

“Trust me.”

Confused, Sonya placed the end of her staff against the ice and smashed it with a magic shockwave. Instead of shattering along with it, the Dark Crusader staggered backwards. Kobie tackled him before he could come to his senses and pressed his good hand against the Crusader’s face. White light surrounded them and the Crusader screamed as black light leeched from his eyes and mouth, coalescing into a dark ball of energy. Kobie cast his hand skyward as if throwing and the ball of energy burst into Pyraflies and dissipated. The Dark Crusader slumped.

Sonya was about to ask what had just happened when a low groan made her turn.

“Zell!” she cried, running to the young Al’bed’s side and quickly healing his injuries. As she helped him to his feet, Kobie pointed to her right.

“Look!”

Up ahead the Yevonites were still fighting back furiously, but a small group of the Angels’ army was driving a wedge through their lines, spearheaded by a familiar figure wielding two Wave Swords.

“It’s Fariel,” he said urgently as Sonya used another elvish healing spell on his immobilised right arm. The cold feeling that had persisted since the phantom blade struck him began to recede, and he found he could move it again, “Thanks. Fariel’s going after Mika, come on let’s go!”

The last surviving Dark Crusader continued to rampage through the Angels’ army, standing twice the height of the soldiers around him and flinging the men in his path aside like children‘s toys. Though Cid’s men surrounded him, he spun round swinging his huge sword in a lethal arc and eviscerated all those that tried to engage him. As screaming airship crew flew backwards in sprays of blood he lunged forward, spitting a terrified soldier on his massive blade. He held his sword aloft in triumph as dark energy whirled round him, and the writhing soldier slid helplessly down the blade until the Dark Crusader threw him aside with a casual flick of his sword.

“Will somebody stop that damn Crusader!” Cid shouted helplessly, trying to fight his way through the press of Yevon Warrior Monks to confront the rampaging Dark Crusader. He was never going to get there in time.

Seeing this, Chouji launched himself into the air with a powerfully cast Aero and sped towards the Dark Crusader, who turned to face the mage as he landed. With a roar of rage he came at Chouji but the mage threw him back with a rapid-fire volley of Firagas. The Dark Crusader lurched back to his feet and attacked again. Chouji punched his fist towards the sky and a barrage of Thundagas hammered down, but the Dark Crusader weaved through them with impossible agility for something so big. Storming through the geysers of earth thrown up by the powerful lightning bolts, the Crusader brought his sword down but Chouji threw himself aside just in time and the blade scythed down to merely cleave the earth instead of the mage. The force of the impact caused a miniature earthquake which knocked everyone in the vicinity off their feet.

Recovering as the Dark Crusader charged again, Chouji threw everything he had at the monster, Wateragas and Blizzagas smashing into him but seeming to have no effect whatsoever. In desperation Chouji threw up his hands and a blazing Shield spell surrounded him as the Dark Crusader’s broadsword slashed down glowing with red and purple flames. There was a massive explosion as White Magic collided with the power of a Dark Aeon, but when the smoke cleared it was Chouji’s Shield that had prevailed, while the Crusader’s sword shattered into blazing shards.

Chouji had been thrown to the ground, stunned by the impact. The Dark Crusader recovered first. Dropping the hilt of his broken sword and reaching forward with a massive hand he seized Chouji and held him aloft, roaring his rage as he began to crush the life out of him.

Chouji choked on blood as his ribs splintered. Fighting against the crushing pressure, he drew in his last breath and screamed out:

“ULTIMA!!!”

The Angel warriors nearby twisted away, shielding their eyes as both Chouji and the Dark Crusader were engulfed and disappeared in the massive white fireball.

"CHOIJI!" Cid yelled as the blinding light caused him to shield his eyes. The light soon faded and Cid pushed his way forward but all that remained in the area was a giant creator surronded by the airship crew and yevon troops. Cid dropped to his knees at the edge of the creator.

"Choiji... my old master...no," tears began to flood into his eyes, he looked around to see the same for his men, in that small area the fightning had ceased, the Yevon soilders moral had fallen greatly due to the loss of their five elites and the force of the blast caused the advancing forces to hault. And the ariship crew who witnessed the death stopped to mourn the loss of Choiji.

"Not a trace of him left," Neji said as he stood behind Cid. "You old fool,"

Cid punched the ground "If only I had made it here sooner,"

"Fa...father," a young voice said in dispare. Cid and Neji turned around to see Gau pushing his way through the airship forces.

"Seifer, take Gau back to the airship," Neji said turning to the swordsman. Seeing the upset Gau caused Neji and Cid to focus on the battle more, everyone had to be strong, Choiji took them all in when nobody else would, he trained them, even raised some of them and was a good man through and through.

Cid and Neji turned to eachother. "For Choiji?" Cid said

"In his memory we owe that to him," Neji replyed. Neji turned to his troops.

"LETS WIN THIS FOR THE MEMORY OF CHOIJI!"

The airship crew let of a mighty battle cry and charged towards the Yevon forces roaring all the way. The crusaders backed off as Machina rifels fired tearing through their flesh it was followed by the sound of slashing blades, and sprays of blood. The crusaders fell back on eachother as the much smaller airship crew speared them back.

(I felt Choiji deserved some dramatics lol)

“Mika! Mika you bastard!” Fariel screamed as she beat her wings, flying up over the Crusaders in her path and swooping down towards the Maester. Mika turned to face her as she landed and swept his bodyguards away in a powerful Wateraga spell. The Maester alone remained unaffected as he slammed his staff into the ground in a Dispel, causing the tidal wave to break against an invisible wall around him. Fighting through the Crusader line came Sheena, Kale, Faber and Rico, but with a swift gesture Mika caused a wall of fire to roar up and bar their path, swiftly encircling him and Fariel to form a small arena. Fariel circled, her face contorted by hatred, while Mika turned on the spot to face her. The tiny, wizened Maester looked no match for Fariel, but he wore a confident smile.

“Come on then, heretic. Do your worst.”

Fariel snarled and launched a Wateraga at him. Mika deflected it easily with a wave of his Maester’s staff, causing the spell to burst apart and rain down on them in droplets, soaking them both.

“Tell me,” said Mika conversationally, “What exactly did you do with the amulets you stole from me and Seymour?”

“I destroyed them,” Fariel spat, “All they represented were lies!”

She leapt forward, somersaulting through the air to bring her wave swords slashing down towards the Maester, but Mika raised his hands to meet the blades and the blows rebounded harmlessly off his shimmering magical shield. Again and again Fariel struck out with a rage she had nurtured since her parents’ deaths, but Mika proved surprisingly fast and was able to bring his Shield spell to bear against every one of her attacks.

“You’re no match for me, girl,” he said at last, lowering his hands as she backed off, breathing heavily. Fariel threw one of her wave swords at him. It skidded to a halt in midair a few feet in front of the Maester. Mika sighed, as if disappointed.

With startling speed, Fariel leapt forward, seizing the sword out of the air and bringing both her wave swords down. Mika’s staff rose to meet it, glowing with magical power. They struggled against each other, each trying to push the other back.

How can this stunted little creep be so frakking strong!? Fariel cursed to herself.

Suddenly fire roared into life between them as Mika cast a huge Firaga and the blast caught Fariel full in the face, throwing her backwards, her wave swords spinning away. Landing heavily Fariel screamed and clapped a hand to her face, the entire right side of which was blackened and bleeding. Mika loomed over her with his staff held high in both hands, the wicked blades at its tip flashing in the light of the fire surrounding them.

“And thus, Yevon prevails,” Mika sneered. He swung the staff down.

Suddenly a figure leapt through the wall of flames nearby, protected from the heat by a shimmering magical shield, and lunged forward to parry Mika’s attack with one of Fariel’s wave swords. The firelight illuminated the snarling face of Laguna as he threw the Maester back. Stooping over Fariel he used a healing spell to cure the fearful burns across her face.

“L…Laguna?”

“Hello again Leviathan,” the elf said with a smile, helping the girl to her feet.

Mika let loose an angry shout and blasted a Thundaga towards them, but it was dispelled by Sonya as she came charging through a temporary gateway she had breached in Mika’s fiery shield, forcing Mika back on the defensive with a flurry of elven spells. Summoning Anistara she put a glittering wall of ice between them and Mika while Fariel recovered, pouring more magic into the shield as Mika relentlessly battered it down with powerful Firagas.

“Laguna, what the frak are you doing here!?” Fariel gasped in disbelief.

“Trying to regain my honour,” the elf answered tersely, “I had nowhere else to go so I’ve been shadowing you until I could help you Angels somehow.”

Fariel found herself smiling.

“Thanks, Laguna.”

Warned by Tritoch’s Farsight, Sonya shouted over her shoulder to them as her ice wall began to crumble:

“Fariel! Cast a water spell on the fire wall so the others can get in! I can’t hold this much longer!”

Alright Leviathan, Fariel thought, do your stuff…

“Wateraga!”

There was a loud hiss as the miniature tidal wave temporarily doused Mika’s fire wall, and in the brief pause before it flared up again Kobie and Neji came leaping through the steam.

There was a roaring blast as Sonya’s ice wall exploded into shards, a pillar of flame streaming from Mika’s hands thundering towards her through it. Kobie Timeshifted in and pulled her out of harms way before she was hit by Mika’s Firaga.

Mika looked on in disbelief at the five: Fariel, with her angelic wings outstretched, spinning her wave swords as she locked eyes with him. Sonya, with her staff in one hand, held diagonally behind her. Next to her, Kobie with his elven bow drawn back to his ear, the arrow crackling with magic potential. Neji, expressionless, with a great demon-blade in each hand. And finally Laguna, staring at him with determined eyes and his elven blade held up ready.

“Today, false prophet of Yevon,” the four humans intoned together in voices that were partly their own and partly something else, “You answer to the First Aeons, and to the Avenging Angels.”

For a second it seemed as if four spectral figures of huge size appeared briefly in glowing Pyraflies above them, causing fear to cross Mika’s face for the first time. He quickly regained his composure. Thrusting his staff forward he cast his most powerful Shield spell around himself, a Firaga blazing into life in his other hand.

While Angel warriors and Yevonites fought and died around them, the duel that would decide the battle was about to be fought inside Mika’s fiery arena.

Neji could hardly bare his excitment, he gribbed his swords egger to fight.

"This is it, Yevons day of judgement, the moment I dreamed of is now, I will not let this opportunity slip past me," Neji seized the opportunity and wasted no time in charging.

"NEJI WAIT!" the others called out yet their words fell on deaf ears and Neji continued his charge. Mika thrusted his arm forward and a mighty ball of fire flared through the air towards Neji, Neji acting on impluse crossed his arms in front of his face and charged straight through the fire. It collided with Nejis skin bursting into a flurry of embers, leaving Nejis arms slighty burnt yet otherwise unharmed.

"Is that all you can do?" Neji taunted Mika as he suddenly appeared face to face with him.

"Die!" Neji yelled as he sliced Mika with his two blades. Neji scored a perfect hit, both blades cut through Mika cleanly seperating his top half from his bottom. Yet no blood spilt, instead what Neji thought was Mika's body was a mere clone of water. The halfed body splashed onto the ground into a puddle of water. Neji's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Neji you fool, it won't be that easy to defeat me," Coming out of the ring of fire was an unharmed Mika, crossing the wall of flames smoothly as if he was the fire. Mika held his arm out smoothly and flexed his fingers and with a sudden jerk releashed a steady steam of lightning heading straight for Neji, Kobie coming to his friends aid timeshifted in front of Neji, he crossed his blades glowing white with electrical energy. The stream of lightning was attracted to the blades and absorbed the powerful magical attack. Fariel and Laguna took this opportnity to advance on Mika from both sides.

"I will kill you Mika!" Fariel called out as she advenced but before they could swung there swords Mika lifted into the air with some unseen force.

"No way, what kind of magic is that!" Laguna yelled in anger

"You all have no chance against me, I am the ultimate mage,"

"You arnt the ultimate mage anymore," Sonya called out as she launched a flurry of Elven magic. In responce Mika brought up a magical shield which dispeled all the attacks.

"Please little girl, not even elven magic can hurt me,"

"everyone surrond him!" Kobie called out. The angels and Laguna surronded Mika quickly and all were ready to attack as soon as anyone gave the signal.

"We will find away past his magic," Kobie yelled to boost moral

"but I've never seen magic that enables someone to soar through the air," Laguna shouted

"He's unsent, thats why, not to mention he's sure to have the same power as Kiba and those crusaders back there, they all proberly got it by the same means," Neji said

"What?" Fariel produced a small throwing knife, with great accracy she through it at Mika back, yet Mika didn't move, the knife got stuck in Mika back smoothly breaking through his skin. Yet no blood came from the wound, and Mika barely move. "Yep definatly unsent,"

"Now do you see fools, you can't kill one that is already dead," Mika boasted

"Unsent you may be but you can't intimadate us Mika, the unsent may be more durable but they can be defeated we all know that," Sonya shouted in response.

Mika snarled, "very well, but you will have to hit me first," he yelled and Mika cast around him a great shield. "This is the strongest shield magic can create, just try and get through it!"

"Lets Go everyone!" Neji yelled and all five charged at Mika. Unfased Mika spreaded his arms out wide and a pulse of wind spread through the area knocking all of there feet.

Kobie got up and loosed a Thundara arrow, but once again Mika’s shield repelled the powerful lightning bolt, deflecting it into the sky. Fariel and Neji leapt forward in a whirlwind of blades but were unable to penetrate the Maester’s defences - their attacks that he did not block with his glowing staff ricocheted off his powerful shield. Finally he threw up his arms and once again the two Angels were hurled back by an invisible shockwave. Kobie Timeshifted forwards but Mika nullified it with a Slow spell and smashed him aside, turning to Sonya as she fired a barrage of elven lightning at him. Shaking off the Dispel she tried to use against his magical shield he responded with a volley of his own Thundagas. Sonya Dispelled as many as she could but the Maester’s awesome magic abilities told as one hit home, and she was blasted backwards and left screaming on the ground as the lightning coursed through her. Kobie let out a yell of fear and anger, diving forward into the path of the lightning stream and catching it on the vambrace of one of his Atellian gauntlets, the magic-infused metal reflecting the Thundaga and sending it flashing back towards Mika. The Maester staggered back as the rebounded spell impacted against his shield, but recovered in time to fight off both Laguna and Fariel as they came in to attack.
“Damn it! I can’t get past his frakking shield!” Fariel coughed to Neji as she pulled herself back to her feet after being thrown back again, blood streaming down her face from where Mika’s bladed staff had slashed her.

“I can’t Dispel it either, he’s too powerful,” Sonya added, still shivering and badly weakened by Mika’s last attack.

“I’ll use Diablos’ Lightning Edge,” Neji said slowly, “No shield spell can hold against that.”

“Yeah, but if you charge him head-on he’ll just cast Slow and dodge it.” Kobie countered, wiping blood from his face.

“Very well then,” put in Laguna, “What if…”

Mika didn’t give them more than a few seconds respite. He slammed the bladed end of his staff into the ground and an earthquake shook the arena, deep fissures snaking across the earth and splitting it asunder. He smiled wolfishly as Laguna took the full force of the attack and was hurled back, knocked unconscious by the force of the spell. Neji, unready or simply afraid of his awesome powers, fell back away from him, while Fariel and Sonya who had been floored by the blast struggled painfully to their feet. But as he advanced towards them to finish them off, Kobie leapt forward to stand protectively between them, bloodied and breathing heavily but hard-faced as he defiantly put himself between Mika and his prey. Lightning cracked along the blades of his arcane gauntlets, and Mika channelled a Thundaga into his own staff.

He swept it down. Kobie’s left blades rose to meet it. His other arm flicked out only to glance off Mika’s mighty shield. They fought to push each other back and despite his small stature Mika succeeded in driving Kobie to his knees. Mika grinned in triumph as Kobie struggled against his superior power, until his opponent raised his head and Mika saw that his eyes were strangely glowing white. The lightning wreathing Kobie’s blades crackled fiercer and he began to force Mika back again. Mika hissed a Dispel but it seemed to have no effect. He snarled and focussed all his considerable magic against Kobie, when suddenly he stumbled forwards as his opponent disappeared, catching him off guard by rapidly Timeshifting aside. Looking up Mika saw with horror that Neji was charging full-force towards him with a Lightning Edge blazing in a red corona around his hand, and thanks to Kobie holding him up until the last possible second there was no time to evade it. Neji’s hand smashed into Mika’s shield, breaking through it in a cataclysmic explosion of energy, and in the wake of the stunning blast the remnants of Mika’s shield flickered and died, leaving him defenceless.

Mika was trying to charge another spell when the tips of Kobie’s Attelian blades exploded from his chest, drilling right through his shoulder as the Timeshifting Angel swept round behind him. Fariel loomed before him and with a grim smile drove both her wave swords through his stomach to send the Maester crashing to his knees.

“Don’t worry,” she hissed at him, “We’ll tell the world that you Sent yourself after the Yevon religion collapsed.”

Mika choked as Kobie flipped back, kicking the Maester forward as he did so, and Fariel stepped aside to let Sonya through, her staff pulsing with white light.

“Shea nudh rhiatha elthir erreintha asuryish,” Sonya whispered the elven Banishing spell, and thrust her staff forward. The shockwave of white light threw Mika into the air and slammed him into the ground. The fire wall sealing them off from the rest of the battle began to flicker out as the Unsent Maester’s power failed.

Her face a mask of calm fury, Fariel advanced towards the fallen Mika, her eyes fixed on his. Parts of the Maester’s face were already turning black and crumbling to dust, turning his snarl of anger and pain into a grotesque leer.

“You sent my parents to their deaths,” she said simply.

And drawing her mother’s sword, rammed it down through the disintegrating Maester’s ribcage, Pyraflies spiralling around her and up towards the Farplane.

As the maestor died so did the ring of fire surronding the angels, around them the fighting ceased both sides eager to find out who would be left standing when the smoke cleared. The crusaders eyes widened as they gazed upon the angels, Neji stood with both blades one slung over his shoulder the other dragging across the ground and a wicked trimphant smile across his face towards the crusaders. Sonya stood abit behind him half leaning on her staff to support her dragging body, yet not making it look like she was tired. Kobie and Fariel supported Laguna who was just coming to his senses after taking the front of a mighty blast.

The crusaders were confident that there leader would of defeated the angels, yet there they all stood and they didn't even look worn out. It was then with Mika defeated the crusaders one by one began to collapse the source of there evil power died with Mika and they were released from his hold, many looked up in fear at there oppents as if they were waking from a nightmare, unsure just what had happened. Many ran away in fear others begged to be spared at the feet of crew.

A tired and bloodied Cid strided out of the battlefield towards Neji.

"Well done angels you did, against all the odds we won against Yevon in one battle,"

The tired angels did not reply instead smiles appeared on there tired faces. A smile which was returned by the entire crew who all had ocused there attention on them, the smile was followed by a roar from the small army.

"So Neji, what we gonna do with the crusaders who have given themselves up, they say that they have no clue what happened to them and that Mika had them under his control, but it could be a ploy,"

"its not look in their eyes, they have no evil swiling in there, round them up and keep an eye on them,"

"and the those who are running away,"

"let them, they are no threat anymore,"

"And the dead?"

"Treat the wounded first, allies and crusaders, then round up our dead they shall have decent sendings, and as for crusaders bodys have Melina send them aswell, and bury all the bodys where they fell with unmarked graves no must know of this battle,"

"Rite away,"

Kobie and Neji gazed upon the bloody battlefield.

"Such a mess, it all brings back bad memorys to me, I never wanted to take part in a battle like this again, yet here I am, standing in the afterhath of brutal battle which I took part in, I thought I could repent my Sins, that my war days were over," Kobie said softy

Neji turned to Kobie, "You fought for a good reason today, look at those you killed, there souls were being tortured by the power Mika gave them, you freed them from that torture as you have helped free all those under a false religeon, those who died would be greatful of what you have done for them, and look at those that survived you helped free them aswell, and finally look at all those lives you have saved, I am greatful, my crew if greatful, in this battle Kobie you saved more lifes than you have ever ended in you're life, if you ask me then I think you have done more than enough to repent you're sins,"

"thank you, I'm going to go help Sonya and Fariel," Kobie said Nejis wise words obviously having an effect on his fews of things.

Sonya and Fariel were busy helping those wounded, healing with there magic and tieing bandages round the wounds, Melina also who was now well rested was busy sending all those who had fallen the crew coming in up after to bury the bodys. All the wounded crusaders were treated and they were all gathered next to the airship still unaware of just what had happened to them, Neji noticed that a group of about 30 crusaders had broken up from the rest of the captured and wounded and were speaking agmonst themselves, then one rose up and approached Neji.

"umm excuse me, Captain Neji?" he said jitterly, Neji immediatly turned to face the crusader the other eventually worked up the courage and all stood behind him, with unsure looks on there faces.

"Yes?" Neji said inpaitently

"well I beleive we all owe you an apology,"

"Apology?"

"Now we know what we have done today, be it against our will or not, can never be forgiven, and no matter how much we apoloise it won't bring back those we have killed,"

"Go on," Neji said raising an eyebrow

"Well, we all wish to join you'r crew, to make up for the lifes we ended we wish to put our lifes in you're hands, forever we will serve you, or we summit our lives, we will understand if you refuse our offer and wound prefer to kill us, after all a life for a life, so please do with us as you will." The spokemen dropped down to one knee, head hanging down he gripped the ground and trembled in fear that Neji would rather excitcute them, he was followed by the other 30 all awaiting Neji's answer, other crusaders, many wounded also approached the group on one knee, and dropped down to summit there lives, there was 50 some crusaders brave enough to approach Neji and sacrivce there lives so that they may be forgiven.

"Get up," Neji demanded, and the crusaders all followed his orders, the spokemen look at Nejis face, Neji face was stern and serious the crusader gripped his fists yet never stopped looking Neji in the eye to show he was serious, Neji soon melted into in smile.

"You lot are brave, it takes guts to do what you are doing right now, I respect that, just the qualitys I look for in my crew members,"

The crusaders face lit up "You mean?" he said hopefully

"Welcome to the crew," Neji said reaching his hand out, the crusader shook his hand in delight.

"Thank you Captain, we will not let you down," to others who summited all cried out they cheered for there knew captain but there cheers were soon broken by Neji.

"Enough!" he shouted, "Now go help you're crew mates,"

The crusaders immediatly went to help there knew crew mates who welcomed them into the crew even though 10 minutes ago they were all trying to kill eachother. Although it was only a small portion who joined Neji, it made a big difference to the crew who had received many casualies. Neji turned to the remaining crusaders, who clearly did show the same courage.

"All of you can head back to Bevelle,"

The crusaders immediatly got up and made there way back to bevelle not even looking back.

With the new crew members in only took abot 20 miniutes for the battle field to be cleaned, all the dead made been sent and buired, it was then when Zell came running out of the ariship.

"Guys! Guys!" he yelled. "Its Its Sins, Sins here,"

The angels looked up to the sky and fast approaching them was Sin, the monster they have been training to fight all this time, there final battle,"

"Everyone get into the airship and get the hell out of here," Neji yelled

"but Captain," Zell shouted

"We face this oppoent alone," Neji said, and the crew followed his orders soon everyone but the angels were on the ship, and the ship jetted off far away from the battle.

"I hope everyone is ready," Kobie asked readying his bow

"I've been ready for this for along time," Fariel replyed swirling her wave swords

"Lets all walk away from this, so take of yourselves and others," Sonya said, charging up her staff.

"Sin! its time for you're end!" Neji shouted as bat wings spreading from his back.

The four Avenging Angels strode forward across the grassy Calm Lands towards the giant monster in the sky who loomed bigger and bigger as he glided towards them. As he approached, swarms of Sin-spawn began to detach themselves from his fin-like wings, forming a growing black cloud that swarmed around Sin before dropping towards the ground to meet the Angels below.

“We’ll have to fight through the Sin-spawn,” Sonya said with her eyes closed, communing with Tritoch, “And get close enough to give our Aeons a clear shot at Sin when we summon them.”

She opened her eyes as the swarm of Sin-spawn swept down towards them.

Suddenly the four noticed a small tempest whirling through the sky and heading straight for them. Sonya swung her staff upwards but it fell too fast for her to track, slamming into the ground a few metres in front of them before she could fire off a spell. They all took a step back, weapons levelled, and as the Aero dissipated it revealed…

“Tanis!” Fariel shouted as their half-elven guide stood up from where he had landed on one knee, arms thrown out for balance. He was battered and bleeding from multiple wounds, but he managed a smile as he moved to stand next to his friends.

“Nice of you to drop in.” Neji observed dryly in the half-demonic voice of Diablos.

“Didn’t think I was going to leave you to fight Sin alone, did you?” Tanis countered.

“What the frakking Farplane kept you, Tanis!?” Fariel shouted at him, sounding half angry and half overjoyed.

“I’ve been busy!” Tanis snapped back. Surely she knew perfectly well where he had been?

“Oh, I see,” Fariel said slyly, “Was she good-looking, eh, Tanis?”

For a second, Tanis thought she was talking about Selina and just stared at her. Then he broke into a broad grin.

“Very funny, young one.”

Fariel grinned evilly, pressing her tongue up against her front teeth.

Tanis turned to the others and saw the unspoken question in their eyes.

“Selina’s evil is no more,” he said flatly, “She will not become the new Sin and all that remains for the prophesy to be fulfilled is that we destroy him now.”

They turned to look at the horde of Sin-spawn now pounding across the Calm Lands towards them.

“To a date with destiny, Avenging Angels.”

(occ ok lets get this final battle underway, ive been playing Samuria Warriors 2 alot lately and decide to give everyone there own True Musoe attacks which are pretty cool, for this introduction to fight, for those who dont know what im talking about then play either the Samuria Warriors games (both are good) and/or Dynasty Warriors (Dynasty Warriors 5 recommended) games they both have use of Musoe attacks)

“hmph these guys shouldn’t be a problem for us,” Neji said with confidence

“I agree, so let me finish them off quickly,” Tanis said while standing in front of the others. He stretched his arms out wide and began to channel his awesome power through his body.

“Stand back,” he said turning to the others.

“ULTIMA!” he shouted as an incredible blast of magical energy erupted from his body and engulfed the charging Sin Spawn. But when the light faded to his shock those Sin Spawn that had been destroyed by the blast were quickly replaced in a blink of an eye by Sin. But once those that had fallen had been replaced Sin went on to reinforce his vast army of spawns until his entire arsenal of Sin Spawn had been exhausted. All five Angels stepped back in shock as they soon found themselves surrounded by twice as many monsters as before.

“Oooh crap, this is not good,” Fariel said

“Yeh these guys are weak but with this many we way find ourselves overwhelmed,” Kobie said in reply

“heads up guys their wings are flickering,” Neji said getting the attention of the other four.

The Sin spawn with a clear shot let fire a flurry of sharp needles which whistled through the air towards them, quickly in response Sonya threw up a powerful shield it protected the angels in a comfortable sphere of magical energy, the needles bounced harmlessly off the shield allowing the Angels to take a sigh of relief, but almost immediately after the first flurry of Needles then Sin Spawn in the front drifted back and a new line stood at the front and fired there needles, the motion was constant and the never ending barrage of needles began to take its effect on Sonya, the shield began to flicker away.

“I don’t know how much longer I can hold this for guys,”

“Hmm, then we have to attack if we separate then they won’t have a single target to focus on but five moving targets,” Kobie suggested

“Now that’s what I like to hear, get rite in their faces then cut them in two,” Neji said in agreement.

“And if we are rite in close combat with them then they can’t fire less they risk hitting there own kind,” Fariel added

“Then it’s a plan, good luck everyone and I’ll see you when we get close enough to Sin,” Tanis said

“Ok, I’ll lower the shield after the next barrage,”

The last barrage had just pounded off the shield, when Sonya instantly removed the shield All the Angels charged off in different directions. As soon as the shield fell Kobie vanished, moving away with blinding speed, his blades overflowed up with electrical energy leaving behind him trail of lightning, his blades sliced through the Sin Spawn with ease, it was clear where Kobie had been for the trail of dead Sin Spawn still twitching with the electrical current flowing through there body, he sliced his way further into the ranks of the Sin Spawn and when he felt he was deep enough in, he stopped, but still in time shift, he spun up into the air, arms stretched out wards, and leaving behind a corkscrew of lightning, the Sin spawn struck as Kobie ascended flew through the air flashing with electricity. It was then that Kobie flashed out of his timeshift while in mid air, and while flexing his arms in a dominant stance five massive bolts of lightning pummeled towards the ground from all around Kobie sending the Sin Spawn flying in all directions. Kobie landed on the ground crouched.

Sonya Using her Staff vaulted into the air upon reaching the front line of the Sin spawn, to leap over them allowing her to land in amongst the Sin Spawn, she began to Spin her Staff around her head spraying an icy wind as she did, the Sin spawn around her froze from the powerful magical attack and were helpless as Sonya began to released a wall flames from all around her, quickly it to moving wall spread out around her, she waited until more Sin Spawn had gathered around then by casting aero focused the oxygen in the air on the flames and by expanding the flames rapidly caused the area around her to explode in a massive fiery explosion, the surrounding Sin Spawn were decimated, once the smoke faded Sonya could seen in the middle of the carnage with a magical shield around her.

Fariel while charging transformed into a wolf for a speedier sprint, upon getting in close she leap in the air while in mid air she transformed back into her human form and landed on top of a Sin Spawn, she stabbed the Sin Spawn then immediately jumped to another delivering the exact same stabbed. The Sin spawn were so closely packed that Fariel had no problem jumping from one to another killing each as she went. Upon getting deeper into the Sin Spawn lines she back flipped of one and channeling her energy into Wave Swords crashed them into the ground, when the Swords smacked into the ground a great powerful Tsunami powered through the Sin Spawn around Fariel, sending them flying in all directions and dragging them off for a short distance before the magical water faded away soaking the battle ground.

Neji Charged into the lines of the Sin Spawn channeling all Diablos’ energy, he powered up his swords causing a strange black aura around them and spread his wings, hovering slightly above the ground he viciously slashed through the Sin Spawn pushing deeper and deeper in, then with one mighty beat of his wings soared high in the air, gathering all his energy in his hand he slow conjured up a massive ball of dark energy and then putting all his weight behind it, threw it down on the ground. The ball of energy crashed in the ground crushing Sin Spawn under it, then slowly it began to spread before exploding dissolving the Sin Spawn in the surrounding area.

Tanis charged through the enemy Sin Spawn and slashing any which dared to stand in his way, he then stopped and waited for the Sin Spawn to get closer to him, it was then he began to furiously slash his sword in a constant motion, the speed of his swings left the Sin Spawn no time to attempt to defend themselves and all those who got in range of Tanis’s sword flew in a heap on the ground. Tanis then stopped his slashing then channeled all his energy once again all through his body, and released a great Ultima the blinding light spread out far leaving no trace of the Sin Spawn that were engulfed by the light.

(occ - I'm just back from work, been up since 4.30, felt like posting something, just to prove i'm alive. Btw Sean, Dynasty warriors 5 is ace. lol, just thought i'd mention. Anyway, you guys can continue on but Fariel's gonna fight the sin spawn in the sky in a sad attempt to get to Sin :p lol Airel battles are far more fun then ground ones :p lol)

“Enough of this.” Fariel growled glaring at each of the sin spawn as they continued to advance around her, “I have no time for you!” She yelled at the beasts, eager to fight her true opponent high above in the sky.

A sin spawn attacked, jumping forwards towards her, but she was in no mood to deal with the weak enemy, slicing her blades down through the air in front of her, two waves of water shot forward from her blades and sheared through the ranks of sin spawn.
She smiled as some of the creatures backed away slightly but others jumped over them and sent needles firing towards her, “Waterga!” She yelled, a steam of water spiralled up around her and blocked the attack, she repeated the spell which sent spawn flying away but onto to be replaced by more. “There's no end to them!” Fariel yelled, catching the attention of Kobie fighting his way through them nearby, “We’ll be half dead by the time we reach Sin!” She continued.

“Well do you have a better idea? There’s no way we can get to sin without making our way through the spawn first!” Kobie yelled back slashing down around two fiends that launched at him.

“Yeah! I’m going up there, screw these guys!” Fariel slashed down another fiend before launching up into the air and spreading her wings.

“Fariel, wait!” Kobie yelled to her but was ignored.

Fariel vaulted up into the air but as she did so a Sin Spawn leapt at her from behind, jumping onto her back and clawing at her wings, raking long bloody marks across the white feathers.

“Frak!” Fariel yelled and stabbed backwards with her Wave Swords. The Sin Spawn disappeared in a hail of Pyraflies, but the attack had knocked her off balance and she fell out of the air right into the middle of a brood of ravening Spawn.

Until that moment Tanis had been ducking and weaving through the melee around him, one, two, or even three Sin Spawn dissolving with each perfectly-placed sword blow, while his other hand blasted elvish spells at the Fiends with deadly accuracy, but now seeing Fariel’s plight he leapt over the Sin Spawn he was fighting, somersaulting through the air and using Aero to boost his elvish agility so that he flew across the field to land beside Fariel. As he landed yet another Ultima irised out in a searing white shockwave of soulfire to throw back the Sin Spawn threatening Fariel. One Spawn evaded the blast by leaping into the air and landed right in front of Tanis, the Fiend’s wings jack-knifing open to release a spread of diamond-hard needles. They slammed into Tanis’ torso and he reeled but kept his footing. He brushed off the spines, the power he now wielded allowing him to ignore the deep puncture wounds, then with an angry snarl he drew back his fist, a ball of Bisingr fire flaring into life around it. He hurled it forward and the Sin-Spawn disappeared with a high-pitched screech in a swirl of bright flames.

“Thankyou,” Fariel gasped as she got up, then suddenly flicked out an arm to send a throwing-knife streaking past Tanis’ ear. The Sin Spawn leaping at Tanis from behind disintegrated to Pyraflies in midair. Tanis, who had sensed the attack and was just in the process of reversing his katana to counter it, smiled.

“Thank you, Young One.”

Fariel looked pleased and, shaking her battered wings, crouched to launch herself upwards again.

Kobie yelled in pain as he raised one Atellian gauntlet to block a Spawn’s razor-wing attack and the other slashed down across his chest, but as he fell backwards with the Spawn on top of him he managed to ram his other fist under the Fiend’s guard and impale it on the triple blades, kicking out as it disintegrated to flip back onto his feet. Seeing a brood of Sin Spawn racing towards him, he summoned all his strength and leapt into the air, somersaulting down to land in the middle of the group, too close for them to use their needle attack.

Even as they reacted by raising their razor-sharp wings for a melee attack Kobie’s blades flicked out first, crossing in front of him to stab two Sin spawn, then sweeping back to strike those behind as he stood up. He struck forward, hitting the front two Spawn again before they could recover, and the Sin Spawn to either side of him reeled as he lanced his claws out sideways, attacking faster and faster - diagonal lunge, cross, diagonal, spin, forward, cross, diagonal, cross - white contrails of lightning arcing round him in his claws’ wake. With a final spin he swept his lightning-wreathed blades through all six Spawn in one horizontal arc, then turned on his heel, windmilling his arms to come to rest with one hand above the other, wrists touching. As his left gauntlet clicked against his right, one set of blades pointing up, the other down, the Sin Spawn surrounding him all dissolved into Pyraflies.

The length of the fight and the wounds he had received were beginning to tire him and, breathing heavily, he staggered back a pace, only to bump into someone behind him. He whirled to defend himself but it was only Sonya, holding her glowing staff with both hands near one end for leverage as she swept it over and down to the left and right in a blazing arc to strike the Sin Spawn on either side of her. Shifting her hands to a more central grip she spun it to the horizontal and swept it round, catching a Spawn with each end just as she used her Atellian ring to channel a terrific blast of energy through the staff as it struck. The Spawn flew back with the powerful magic still coruscating over them and disintegrated to Pyraflies before they had even hit the ground.

Sonya and Kobie stood back to back, both breathing heavily, pushing wet hair out of their eyes and wiping blood from minor wounds from their faces as yet more Spawn closed in. They were almost trembling with fatigue after the long battle, but as they glanced back over their shoulders at each other, both drew strength from the other. They turned back to the advancing Spawn with determined faces. Kobie’s eyes glowed white with the power of Ramuh, Sonya’s gold with that of Tritoch. Kobie held out his hands and a storm of white lightning burst forth, while Sonya spun her staff behind her and punched her right hand forward, streams of elemental magic blasting from her Atellian ring. The Sin Spawn disappeared under the combined magical onslaught.

The broods of Sin Spawn were much depleted now, and though there were many still swarming round the Angels in a chittering tide of winged nightmares, gaps were starting to appear in their line. The remaining Spawn were still fighting hard and fearlessly however, and if the Angels could not break through now and release the First Aeons to engage Sin, they might not get another chance.

“Sin! Go for Sin!” Tanis shouted as Fariel powered upwards on angelic wings and a cloud of Sin Spawn whirled to intercept her, and saw Neji do the same, rising up with a mighty roar in a tempest of demonic energy and heading straight for Sin. In response, the giant monster turned towards him and opened his draconic mouth, rows of teeth like sabres flashing in the light of his menacing blue aura.

Neji jetted up towards Sin, using both his wings and mysterious force which seemed to propel him upwards at a blinding pace.

"You'r mine Sin!" he yelled, with a strong demonic voice.

Sin in responed by opening his mouth and a strong force began to gather deep inside of it. Neji sheathed his swords and charged up a lightning edge, spured on by the voice of Diablos ringing in his head, and by thoughts of Melina he charged up his strongest Lightning Edge ever. The red aura around his hand began to boil into a much larger force, soon the crackling red light appeared to engulf Neji as stray jolts of energy sparked off from the aura.

Sins mouth opened wider and it launched a mighty stream of energy light in colour. It collided with Nejis lightning Edge, the force caused Neji to drift back slighty but he continued to push forward, the blast of energy engulffed Neji yet he still continues to push, the lightning Edge provided some sort of shield, the energy seemed to seperate where it made contact with Neji yet quickly reformed.

"Come on Diablos we have to push harder!" Neji yelled and with a mighty Roar Neji gained a burst in speed, he began to push closer and closer to Sin.

"Almost there!" Neji was close to making contact with Sin when released the full force of his blast, it cancelled out Nejis Lightning Edge and threw Neji back in great explosion. Neji pummeled to ground, smoke drifting off his body as he fell.

"No...I wasn't...strong...enough," he though to himself. Neji was close to hitting the ground when he heard a voice other than Diablos' in his head.

"Neji don't give up yet," the sweet voice said

"Melina?" Neji thought to himself. It was then Neji gained a burst of energy. Quickly he opened his eyes and fliped in the air just before he hit the ground, his wings gave a mighty flap, steadying Neji and allowing him to land on the ground on both feet comfortably.

"I'll carry on," he said as he blocked the wing strike from a Sin Spawn with his spiked arm quard.

"hopefully the others will get a better crack at Sin,"

(occ choice time for you guys, you wanna have a go at Sin then Sin will realease the ultimate Sin Spawn, or will a just have it enter the battle now, you wont get another crack at Sin)

Fariel rolled through the sky away from Neji and Sin’s strike against each other, she was disappointed but somewhat excited when she saw that Neji was pushed back, “You’re all mine Sin!” She yelled, spinning up through the air towards her enemy.

Water weaved around her wave swords and slashing them through the sky ahead of her grinned as the water separated from the blades and sheared through the air, hardening into ice. “Die fiends!” She laughed as the sin spawn blocking her way failed to dodge and were sliced in half by her ice strike.

More sin spawn blocked her way and she sent wave after wave of the strike through their ranks and advanced towards sin. Noticing his ranks failing Sin’s many eyes looked down at the angel’s fighting their way through the small beasts of the ground, and more of a threat, Fariel getting ever closer to him.

Fariel growled as Sin looked away from her, seemingly unconcerned at the battle, “Don’t turn your back on me!” Fariel yelled as loud as she could, she sheathed her blades and stopping her approach, “Leviathan, lend me your strength!” She continued weaving her hands in front of her, water spiralling into life and creating a glowing ball of shifting water, “Your enemy is me!” (Think Shiva’s limit but water) Raising her hands above her head the ball of water followed, “This is for my parents!” She yelled at the mighty beast again, throwing her arms forwards, the ball of glowing water growing larger as it was thrown through the sky, leaving a shimmering trail behind it as it shot towards Sin.

Sin spawn feebly tried to block the attack but died in a hail of pyraflies on contact, the attack continuing on course, “I’m not finished.” Fariel mumbled creating another ball of glowing water and throwing it in the first ones wake.

Sin continued to ignore her, but at its own peril, the blast of water slammed into the side of it’s face, it let out an ear piercing groan, Fariel grinned victoriously as her second attack followed the first and struck the beast again, a small group of it’s many eyes started bleeding and others were destroyed from the mixture of water and ice hitting it.

Taking in a deep breath she smiled but her smile vanished as she found herself completely surrounded by sin spawn angry at her attack on their leader, “It was so worth it.” She laughed, rolling backwards and free falling out the sky, a hail of needles attacking her from all directions from her pursuers.

(occ – I just felt like getting just one hit in, well two, but yeah, I’ve been watching too much Naruto and other anime, plus the fact that I’ve successfully pissed off sin so now Sean, you can release your almighty sin spawn thingy-ma-bob XD LOL Anyway, homework to do and assessment to study for, later!)

Thunder boomed overhead, as if the sky itself was tortured by Sin’s anger.

Kobie levelled his bow at Sin and unleashed its Thundara power, praying that the elvish weapon would be able to overcome the monstrous creature’s defences as the arrow lanced skyward and transformed into a blazing lightning bolt, but one of the Sin Spawn that had held back from the main assault to protect its master hurled itself in the path of the missile and absorbed the full force of the blast, annihilating itself in the process. Sonya and Tanis both launched magical attacks with the same result - Tanis’ Bisingr was intercepted by another Spawn that had been protectively circling Sin and was nullified in a bright glare before it could reach its target, while the stream of dagger-like ice crystals of Sonya’s Anistara shattered harmlessly against Sin’s chitinous armour. Sin responded with a roiling blast of raw magic that even Sonya’s hastily thrown-up Shield spell couldn’t fully block, throwing them off their feet.

“I don’t think mortal weapons are any more use here,” Tanis said grimly as he flipped back on to his feet. Pulling themselves painfully to their feet, Kobie and Sonya nodded. With a wave of his hand Tanis summoned a wall of magical fire to surround them and keep the Sin Spawn back while they began the Summoning.

“Neji! Fariel! Call forth the First Aeons!”

Closing her eyes and slowing her laboured breathing, Sonya focussed her mind on Tritoch and felt the elemental Aeon’s power begin to flow through her, surging through her tired limbs and causing the air around her to crackle with Farplane energy.

Now Sin, she heard a familiar voice inside her head say, You will face the full fury of the elements!

Coils of fire, ice and lightning swirled in the air above her, forming a vortex of elemental energies through which a great glowing shape emerged, surrounded by a corona of blinding light. The shape resolved itself into Tritoch, beating his vast majestic wings as the Balance Bird powered upwards towards Sin, the vortex exploding behind him to shoot out magical energy in all directions. Contrails of fire streaming from his wings, Tritoch released a bright beam of multihued light that scattered the Sin-spawn whirling to intercept him and smashed into Sin, flaring against his armour but seeming to do little damage to the giant monster. In response Sin unleashed a barrage of magical attacks. Tritoch zig-zagged and wheeled nimbly through them as he closed with Sin, but one blast of energy found its mark and smashed into the noble bird, sending him flying back. For a second Tritoch shimmered as he struggled to hold on to his earthly form, then he caught himself and turned in midair to sweep back up towards Sin.

Swirling thunderheads materialised overhead as Kobie began his summoning to aid Tritoch, and lightning bolts slashed down one after the other to strike the ground before him until, in a glare of white light and a crackle of static lightning, Ramuh rose up with his staff held high, the lightning overhead flickering down to strike the weapon and coil round it, the magic building and building until Ramuh unleashed it in a mighty Judgement attack, calling down a barrage of magical lightning upon Sin. The monster reeled but seemed relatively undamaged by the attack. Undaunted, Ramuh ghosted upwards with his long robes whipping round him in an unearthly breeze. Bouyed up by Sonya’s elvish wind magic, Kobie and Sonya hurtled upwards to join the Aeons in the final battle against their ultimate nemesis.

Drawing her wave swords she spun as she free fell, the sin spawn advancing on her fled away in a hail of pyraflies, veering up she sent a few more that came at her back to the farplane and soon found herself in a gap of air where there weren’t any sin spawn.

Hearing her name she looked down, she caught the tail end of the shout, something about the aeons, but upon seeing Tritoch and Rumah appear she knew what she had to do.

“Let’s do this Leviathan!” She yelled, “Sin this is your end!” She continued throwing out her arms and concentrating.

The ground far below rippled, Leviathan in all his mightiness shot up from within it as if it was merely water, spiralling up he flew with ease up past Fariel towards Sin. Grabbing onto Leviathan’s back Fariel ascended towards her foe with him, climbing up to his head she crouched and held on tightly as he opened his mouth and sent a barrage of powerful water attacks towards the beast, they hit, but did little to effect him.

“Leviathan, aim for his face, no sin spawn protect him there!” Fariel pointed out.

It’ll do little good, Fariel.

Veering up Leviathan flew just above the ground, Tanis smiled and extended at hand, Fariel grabbed him and pulled him up onto the aeons back with her.

"Let's go Leviathan!" Fariel yelled, as he opened his mouth and sent a barrage of powerful water attacks towards the beast, they hit, but did little to effect him.

“Leviathan, aim for his face, no sin spawn protect him there!” Fariel pointed out.

"Neji! you heard him, summon me,"

"Diablos you’re sealed to my body if I split with you my power gets cut in half,"

"Then let’s do double attacks, combine our attacks in separate bodies, its stronger,"

"Damn it, I forgot about that!"

"...fool, take you're mind off Melina and focus on the battle!"

"All rite...ready Diablos?"

Neji swung his sword to clear an opening before separating himself with Diablos, Diablos emerged from Neji's body in a haze of black smoke, before taking his wicked form.

"All rite then Neji lightning Edge, lets take Sin down, with those guys fighting him we should get a clean shot!"

"Heh, never thought you’d work so hard in order to save our world, Diablos,"

"My worlds gone, and besides since I’m part of you, that kid is mine as well,"

Neji smiled, "The great King of Devils, master of Darkness turned over a new leaf who could have imagined,"

"Don't push me Neji," Diablos said with little tolerance in his voice.

The two looked at eachother with smug looks, when two Sin Spawn dared to attack, both got swatted away with one swipe. Then with out any words being said Neji and Diablos charged up individual Lightning Edges, one red and one purple. Both spread there wings and took flight side by side, the powerful energy burning round there hands. Sin Spawn leapt in the way of them, but by using there free hands which held swords tight they batted the minions aside.

Sin caught them charging with one his damaged eyes. Sins eyes spun in a panic as it kept an eye on all angels. Turning swiftly Sin faced the direction of Diablos and Neji and opened its mouth.

"Ha! This again Sin, you have no chance this time!" Neji yelled. Yet No energy gathered in Sins mouth instead a giant scaly boulder rolled out and sped towards the two, like a meteorite plummeting towards the ground before Sin turned round to engage the other angles.

"Neji! now!" Diablos called out and two flew closer together and combined there lightning edge, an explosion of power pulsed from them as the energies mixed together to form one great Lightning Edge

Neji and Diablos were close to impact with boulder when it suddenly opened up in a giant repulsive creature. It spread out wide its scaly arms to reveal its armour plated chest. It had many small tentacles along its back plus six giant Tentacles which seemed to be able to spread out and even lash out, its bogged eyes streched back to its massive pointed ears, and sat also connected to its great mouth which barred many sharp teeth. Its fists opened up to reveal clawed webbed hands, its webbed feet had many sharp nails backed up by a dagger like claw retracted up on both feet.

"Out of my way!” Neji shouted as he collided into the creatures chest. It took some force but Neji and Diablos burst straight through the beast chest, coming out the other side with a trail of green blood. They continued there charge towards Sin Lightning Edge still burning strong.

Once again Sin faced the two, and slowly opened its mouth, a large amount of energy began to build all the while Sin was also blasting out magical attacks on the other angels in an awesome display of power.

“Diablos, we are going to need more energy to this attack,”

“You think we can handle more energy?”

“If we share the load surely,”

Neji and Diablos still connected by the sparking energy, withdrew their blades and charged a lightning edge in there spare hands. Sin released its energy in a concentrated beam of light, it collided with Diablos and Neji’s massive lightning Edge, yet was only strong enough to halt there charged.

“NOW DIABLOS!” Neji yelled and the two added there spare lightning Edge to attack, in a great flash Sin’s beam of destructive light was dispelled by the explosive power of the Lightning Edge X4.

Sin drifted back in an effort to avoid the attack, While Neji and Diablos began to twirl in the air forming a sort of lightning edge cyclone. The attack pierced through the tip of Sin’s mouth creating a clean whole straight through. Neji burst out the top of the mouth alone.

Neji wiped the sweat from his brow while taking a sign of relief. The whole attack was tough on his body and he wasn’t sure he would be able to follow through with it, in the last second before impact Diablos merged into Neji to help hold his body together leaving Neji holding the attack.

Neji looked down in disbelief that Sin apart from a large whole though the top of his mouth which looked more like a small dent compared to Sin.

“Think you can handle another Neji?” Diablos said within him

“Not enough energy Diablos, lets just take jabs for now,”

Neji separated with Diablos, they both attacked Sin and his spawn in sync.

Tritoch with Sonya on his back swept past Sin, strafing him with a barrage of elemental magic. Sin roared his anger and attacked back but Tritoch dodged nimbly, weaving through the devastating energy blasts in a graceful airborne ballet.

From his vantage point on Ramuh’s shoulder, Kobie saw that Sin was beginning to weaken as the combined attacks of the four First Aeons began to take their toll. As Ramuh thrust his staff forward to cast another powerful lightning bolt, Kobie leapt into a Timeshift and threw himself off the Aeon’s shoulder. At reduced speed, the lightning bolt made a stuttering white contrail that caused visible ripples in the air as it lanced through it, splitting it apart. Kobie slid down onto it, surfing along the crackling beam so that it carried him towards Sin. He twisted his body and side-flipped over a Sin-spawn that was moving in slow-motion to intercept him, his Atellian blades sweeping through the monster in an ice-blue arc as he corkscrewed over it.

As the Timeshift ended, Kobie leapt over the explosion caused by the lightning bolt hammering into Sin and landed on the dragon-like creature’s back as the sparks dissipated. Ramuh’s voice flashed in his mind, telling him what to do, and he rammed one set of blades into Sin’s back, so deep that his gauntleted fist smashed against the creature’s armour. Though Sin barely registered the blow, Kobie punched his other fist upwards as Ramuh raised his staff in both hands, attracting streams of forked lightning down from the sky until the staff blazed with power. In one almighty jolt, the lightning leapt from Ramuh’s staff to the blades of Kobie’s upraised gauntlet, coruscating over him and channelling down through his other gauntlet to tear into Sin. Ramuh’s power protected Kobie from the lightning, but Sin let out an ear-splitting screech as the blast surged through him, white light exploding from his mouth, his many eyes, and between the scales of his chitinous armour.

Mad with rage and pain, Sin convulsed his serpentine body to throw Kobie off his back. Ramuh swept down to catch the Angel in his hand before he hit the ground, but then Sin turned towards them, threw off the attacks from Tritoch and Leviathan, and opened his fanged mouth to blast a great ball of energy towards them.
